About the course

What this course is.

The same question gets two answers: one from the enterprise architect, one from the software architect. EAM works on that gap. You link business capabilities to system boundaries, derive an architecture roadmap from the baseline and target architectures, say what an EAM repository has to hold and settle in architecture governance who decides what.

The module has no exam and earns credit points toward CPSA-A admission; certification requires an assignment and an oral exam after all admission requirements are met.

Does EAM have an exam?

The Albion EAM course has no exam and earns CPSA-A credit points. Certification involves an assignment and an oral exam assessed by experts appointed by the iSAQB, after all admission requirements have been met.

How many credit points does EAM earn?

The Albion EAM course earns 30 credit points, all of them methodical competence. Technical and communicative competence stand at zero in the iSAQB curriculum 2024.1, so you collect those in other Advanced modules.

Do I need CPSA-F to attend EAM?

You do not need a CPSA-F certification for the Albion EAM course. The iSAQB curriculum expects the architecture fundamentals taught at CPSA-F; a passed Foundation exam is required only for admission to CPSA-A.

Do I have to be an enterprise architect?

No, the Albion EAM course is aimed at software architects. The iSAQB curriculum names them in its title and gives a chapter of its own to how software and enterprise architecture act on each other.

How does EAM cover TOGAF?

The Albion EAM course places TOGAF alongside other EAM frameworks. The curriculum covers the ADM, architecture principles and reference models.

What do I get for attending?

For the Albion EAM course you receive the Albion certificate of participation from 80% attendance, with a public verification page. It does not depend on any exam; EAM has none.
