About the course

What this course is.

WEB follows the process from DNS name resolution through the HTTP request to the web application's response. You read HTTP and TLS as design material, weigh REST against stateful backends, place reverse proxies, choose a scaling strategy and work on consistency, security and accessibility. Curriculum 2020.1 gives worked examples a chapter of their own, from infrastructure to database models.

The module has no exam of its own. Attendance earns credit points toward CPSA-A admission; the certification itself is an assignment with an oral exam.

Does the WEB module have an exam?

The Albion WEB course has no exam and earns CPSA-A credit points. Certification involves an assignment and an oral exam assessed by experts appointed by the iSAQB, after all admission requirements have been met.

How many credit points does WEB earn?

The Albion WEB course earns 30 credit points, all of them for technical competence: none for methodical, none for communicative. That is the split the iSAQB WEB curriculum 2020.1 sets.

Do I need CPSA-F to attend?

You do not need a CPSA-F certification for the Albion WEB course; the iSAQB lets you attend an Advanced module without one. The curriculum does expect CPSA-F knowledge, experience with distributed systems and web basics.

What do I get for attending?

For the Albion WEB course you receive the Albion certificate of participation from 80% attendance, with a public verification page. It depends on attendance, not on any exam.

Which technologies does the WEB curriculum cover?
