About the course

What this course is.

Cloud energy measurements often lack precision. GREEN covers proxy metrics, Software Carbon Intensity and providers' carbon dashboards. From there you work the levers: algorithms and data handling, architecture styles, protocols and databases, cloud regions and service models, AI models and the CI/CD pipeline. The Greenhouse Gas Protocol and reporting rules such as CSRD set the frame.

The module itself has no exam. Attending earns credit points toward CPSA-A admission; the certification is an assignment and an oral exam.

The Albion GREEN course earns 20 credit points: 10 for technical and 10 for methodical competence, none for communicative. The iSAQB GREEN curriculum 2026.1 sets that split.

Do I need CPSA-F to attend GREEN?

You do not need CPSA-F for the Albion GREEN course. The iSAQB curriculum 2026.1 names prerequisites of its own: experience in design, development, monitoring and programming. A passed CPSA-F exam is required for CPSA-A admission.

Does GREEN cover AI systems?

The Albion GREEN course gives AI a chapter of its own: energy demand across the life cycle, edge or cloud inference, quantisation, pruning and knowledge distillation, and weighing them against accuracy and latency.

Do I learn how to measure energy consumption?

In the Albion GREEN course, measuring and monitoring is one of the two largest blocks of the iSAQB curriculum 2026.1: Software Carbon Intensity, proxy metrics, tool categories and the limits of cloud carbon dashboards.

What do I get for attending?

For the Albion GREEN course you receive the Albion certificate of participation from 80% attendance, with a public verification page. It depends on attendance, not on any exam.
