About the course

What this course is.

The AGILA curriculum 2025.1 gives designing architecture as a team 300 of its 1080 minutes, more than any other chapter. That is what the course does: preparing and moderating decisions in a group, recording them as ADRs, carrying architecture requirements in the backlog, and checking the design with lightweight reviews and fitness functions.

AGILA has no exam of its own. Attendance earns credit points toward CPSA-A admission; the certification is an assignment and an oral exam by iSAQB-appointed experts, after all admission requirements have been met.

The curriculum expects experience designing and developing small to medium software systems, preparing, documenting and communicating architecture decisions, and initial agile project experience. Knowledge of Scrum, Lean or Kanban and automated testing and builds helps.

    Before the Albion AGILA course you receive the materials and either the joining details or the address of the venue.

  2. The course days

    The course days follow the same programme online and on site; the times are on the date you booked.

  3. After the course

    From 80 percent attendance you get the Albion certificate of participation; the credit points count toward CPSA-A admission.

What you still need for CPSA-A

This course contributes 30 of the 70 credit points required. Your total across modules must include at least 10 points in each area.

Does AGILA have an exam of its own?

The Albion AGILA course has no exam and earns CPSA-A credit points. Certification involves an assignment and an oral exam assessed by experts appointed by the iSAQB, after all admission requirements have been met.

How many credit points does AGILA carry?

The Albion AGILA course carries 30 credit points under the iSAQB curriculum 2025.1: 20 in the methodical area of competence, 10 in the communicative area and none in the technical area.

Do I need CPSA-F to attend AGILA?

You do not need CPSA-F for the Albion AGILA course, and the module can be attended without a CPSA-F certification. Only applying for the CPSA-A exam requires a passed Foundation exam.

What do I get for attending?

For the Albion AGILA course you receive the Albion certificate of participation from 80% attendance. It records that you attended and depends on no exam.

Does AGILA run differently online and on site?

The Albion AGILA course follows the same programme online and on site.

Is there a discount for several seats?

Albion applies a group discount for several seats in one AGILA booking. Whether it applies to a date, and from how many seats, is shown on the date's row and at checkout.

Does my team have to work with Scrum?

The AGILA curriculum prescribes no process model; it treats agile models such as Scrum, Lean and Kanban side by side. The Albion AGILA course therefore also fits a team without Scrum.
